Dogs in a group setting behave differently when their parents aren't around than they do in their own homes. Territory marking, testing furniture durability, guarding tendencies, dominance dynamics, and the general unpredictability of mixing different canine personalities all add intense layers of management to every single day.

Managing those unseen behaviors is why I provide active enrichment, constant companion comfort, and specialized care routines. This includes accommodating custom meal preps for those notoriously fussy eaters who require specific, meticulous culinary care—a level of bespoke attention that standard commercial facilities simply cannot match. Misty and I treat your pup to a true getaway of their own, where they get to enjoy new experiences and goof around. They're living in a home, being looked after by someone who genuinely cares for and loves dogs—and that more than anything, is the value of care I provide.

🏠 A Specialized Home-Stay

This is a casual, slow-paced home setting with a very selective guest list. Depending on when your dog visits, they might be the absolute center of attention as my only guest, or hanging out with a tiny pack of one or two furry friends.

The pups who stay here aren't running structured drills. They are here to decompress, socialise at their own pace, sniff every corner, chase each other across the backyard, and eventually claim a soft spot on the lounge—or directly on top of me.

Many of the dogs who pass through Pawnell come from rescue backgrounds with complex stories behind them, a high-energy, chaotic environment is the last thing these pups need. In this quiet home setting, I allow them the exact space and time they need to familiarise themselves with my surroundings and myself. Watching them build trust, open up, and discover what it means to just be a dog is the best part of what I do.

For the more anxious types, just having me close by helps them settle and feel safe throughout the day. For my longer-stay guests, knowing someone is home with them around the clock, paired with gentle play sessions, completely brings their true characters out. Once we build that initial bond, they become incredibly secure, happy, and relaxed in all their future stays with me.
